I like the F type a lot, but long-term reliability would be too big of a questionmark for me. If we‘re only talking about new cars, I‘d probably have a V6/V8 F type over a new 718, but that‘s purely because of the sound being very important to me. Ideally though, I‘ll hopefully be able to upgrade to a 981 GT4 / Boxster Spyder at some point.

Expect to spend $2k in maintenance costs and $3k on insurance. You will likely drive more often so expect to spend more on premium fuel.
