I like the F type a lot, but long-term reliability would be too big of a questionmark for me. If we‘re only talking about new cars, I‘d probably have a V6/V8 F type over a new 718, but that‘s purely because of the sound being very important to me. Ideally though, I‘ll hopefully be able to upgrade to a 981 GT4 / Boxster Spyder at some point.

Expect to spend $2k in maintenance costs and $3k on insurance. You will likely drive more often so expect to spend more on premium fuel.

I am looking into the 2022's F type base model as a daily driver my only concern is that if its reliable as a daily driver. To give some background info, I have a secondary car (2022 Toyota Hybrid) so I am not worried about days that I can't drive the car or about if something happens to the car.
As far as reliability, no major repairs needed since he got it, and certainly no rust issues. If you're stuck choosing between an '09 and '10, go with the '10 because that's the year they introduced the 5.0 liter engine
