Join Date: Jan 2012. Location: Arizona. iTrader: ( 0) E90 Heater Core DIY. Okay, here is a comprehensive DIY for replacing the heater core on an E90. Mine does not have the iDrive, so, if you do, there will be a few additional and different steps. Hopefully you can work around it.
381 posts · Joined 2011. #1 · Dec 15, 2017. When car is warmed up (engine temp over 95°C ) and both heater controls set to 28°, heat is only coming out on one side of the car - drivers side. This for the foot well, face vents and windscreen vents. Played around with the re-circulation controls, fan, temp settings but makes no difference. Pull the glass out of your folding mirror leaving the wires connected to it. Get a voltmeter and measure the two wires to see if you have voltage at the connectors. If you have voltage the mirror heating element is bad. If you have no voltage your mirror controller in the door is bad. If you don't have a voltmeter take the passenger mirror BMW's map is ridiculously stupid, so it's a bit tough to be sure you have the right ones and all of them. 121, 177, 181 seem to be the right fuses, but who knows which fan that might be for. 2001 330xiDrives: 2006 bmw 325i. Join Date: Jan 2019. Location: Minnesota. iTrader: ( 0) 06 325i no ac/heat blowing. Replaced blower motor and resistor but still not blowing. Check function controller okay, measure power at resistor 14.75 volts but check at the blower motor is .07 volt. Need diagnostic help, much appreciate.

The box and glove box both have to come out. The e box because the fan snaps into the hole and the glove box so you can get to it. Once the fan is loose it slides out to the left. Not the most fun job, Newark electrical was charging $80 for the fan. Just solider on the old connector. TpL6fN3.
