The HBO Max app is not available on LG TVs. Therefore there is no way you can download the app onto your TV until LG and HBO work together to make it available to LG users. Unfortunately, even the previous HBO app, ‘HBO Now’, is not available yet on these TVs. The only way to play HBO Max content on your LG TV is to use an external device.
HBO today officially shut down its Apple TV channel, forcing customers that previously used the channel part of Apple TV to access HBO content to upgrade to HBO Max.. HBO began promoting a notice to users on its Apple TV channel reading that it will be “ending its channel service on July 22” and that users are now required to “get HBO Max to continue watching.”
When watching HBO Max content on an Apple TV 4K, once the 'Skip Intro' button appears on screen, hitting the Select/OK button on the Harmony remote just pauses the show and the skip into button just disappears after a few seconds. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press the Star button to open the options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm. Method 7. Power Cycle Apple TV. Power cycling the Apple TV device will reset the device, clear the cache, and fix the glitch causing problems with the Hulu app. With the Apple device turned on, unplug it from the power source.
